Who we are

Salesmart S.r.l. (Italy) is the data controller for Sinapsi (sinapsi.wiki). For anything in this policy, write to privacy@sinapsi.wiki.

What we collect

Account data. When you sign in with Google or GitHub we receive your name, email address and provider identifier — nothing else. The provider is contacted only when you choose to sign in; no provider script is loaded before that.

Your content. The pages, documents and corrections you upload to your private spaces, and the usage signals your spaces learn from (validations, corrections, verified-use weights).

Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept for security and abuse prevention.

Cookies. One signed, HttpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. No analytics, no trackers, no advertising, no third-party CDN: this site does not talk to third parties from your browser.

Why we process it (legal bases)

To provide the service you signed up for (contract, art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); to keep the service secure (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)); to comply with legal obligations (art. 6(1)(c)). We do not profile you, we do not sell data, we send no marketing.

What happens to your private content

This is the claim the product is built on, so here it is precisely: the engine processes your private content per isolated tenant — it chunks, embeds, retrieves and weighs it to serve your spaces only. No human at Sinapsi reads it. It never feeds the public wiki, other tenants, or any model training. The machine processes it, isolated; people don't.

Where your data lives

All data is hosted on Google Cloud in the European Union, region europe-west8 (Milan, Italy). See the full subprocessor list — it is short.

How long we keep it

Account data: while your account is active. Content: until you delete it or your account closes. If a paid quota lapses, deletion is never silent: you get notice, a one-click full export (markdown + weights), 60 days of read-only access, and only then deletion. Corrections in your spaces supersede content rather than erase it (audit trail); you can delete pages and spaces at any time.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability — the export is one click and gives you everything in open formats. Write to privacy@sinapsi.wiki; we answer within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

The public wiki

Public wiki content is released under CC BY 4.0 and must not contain personal data. Contributions proposed via the contribute tool are reviewed and anonymised by us before anything is published. If personal data ever surfaces in public content, ask for removal at privacy@sinapsi.wiki.
